We are proud of our past and thrilled to continue the family legacy of metal recycling three generations in.
How It All Started
Our story is one of humble beginnings that began in 1960, when our founder William Scott and his four brothers started the family business, then called North Shore Auto Wreckers. With years of experience and dedication to the industry, the company rebranded into Inland Iron and Metal in 1962, and the business transformed into a scrap metal yard where metal could be sorted, refined and recycled for reuse.

Over The Years
Over the years, owners Bill and Brian Scott have transformed the business into a full service scrap metal yard that serves both the public and commercial businesses; recycling your scrap metal while paying top dollar for your material and providing excellent service.
Whether you’re looking to drop off an old fridge, cooktop or other scrap metal for some quick cash or need a trailer or bin service, our team can help you with scrap metal clean up, demolition and consulting.

A New Generation
Today, over 60 years into the business, William Scott’s children and grandchildren continue to run and operate the business. Building a legacy for future generations.
